The evening of April 7 will be a great one for bird and nature lovers and photographers. Following light refreshments at the reception from 6:30 to 7:30, we will have presentations by three wonderful photographers.

Tropical Kingbird in Delta – photo by John Gordon

Following a 30 year career as a photojournalist, John “retired” early to go birding.  The first priority was a twenty thousand kilometre birding trip across Canada.  Trips to Churchill Manitoba and Point Pelee Ontario quickly followed.  Recently several trips to the UK and Mexico have allowed John to record and photograph species well beyond his favourite birding haunts of the Lower Mainland.  John has also authored two BC best- selling books.

John last presented at this event in 2014, and we are very pleased to welcome him again.

Connor Stefanison

www.connorstefanison.com

Connor took up nature photography at 17 and has never looked back.  His work has been featured in numerous publications and he has been successful in many prestigious photography competitions.  He conducts both private and group workshops to help others achieve wonderful images.

He has presented at this event on three previous occasions and always has something new and inspiring to offer.

Liron Gertsman

www.lirongertsman.com

Liron has been interested in nature since he was a toddler, and started photographing birds at age five or six.  Although only 17, he has already won multiple awards and was recently the featured photographer for the British Columbia Field Ornithologists Association.  He sees his photographs as a way to achieve his goal of spreading love and appreciation for nature.

This will be his first presentation at this event – but we hope not his last.
